Digestive Health and Gut Restoration It all starts in the gut my friends. Your digestive system not only works to digest and absorb the nutrients needed to keep your body and mind working optimally. Did you know that the digestive system also serves as a second brain, hosting a complex neural network that provides two-way communication with the brain in your head? Did you know that up to 80% of immune function resides in your gut? And that as much as 90% of serotonin production, the happy neurotransmitter, is produced in the intestinal lining? Your gut also serves as home to your microbiota, a system of trillions of bacteria that serve and perform all types of crucial and beneficial tasks that expand even into your mental well-being. Sub-par digestion and an unhealthy, unhappy gut terrain can result in a whole host of problematic issues and uncomfortable symptoms, having effects that reach throughout the entire body, impacting an individual on every level... mind, body, and soul. I'm passionate about digestive health and gut restoration. Nourishing the Nervous System Do you feel chronically stressed? Are you anxious? Irritable? Despondent? Overwhelmed? Today’s fast-paced world and the accompanying modern diet with the effects these have on our body, nervous system, and mind contribute significantly to experiencing these feelings and more. The state of your body and how you fuel and nourish your body and the nervous system can consequentially help to mitigate these negative mental states while improving one's response and resilience to life's stressors. The result is a more content and steady way of life. I'm passionate about exploring the intersections of nutrition, nervous system health, stress response, mindset and health. Reducing Toxic Load and Optimizing Detoxification: The world we live in is an increasingly toxic one, with thousands of toxic chemicals being introduced into our food, water, and air each year. We also experience toxic pollution via other avenues including internal processes. These combine to create a toxic load that impacts our physical AND mental health. I’m passionate about uncovering and exploring the ways to reduce toxic load while helping and optimizing our bodies remarkable detoxification processes!
